CELEBRATION CHOIR

Believing that worship is a lifestyle, we are building a fellowship of leaders that will worship God in spirit and truth and will reach the lost world through authentic and excellent worship ministry.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE CHOIR?

Simply come to our next regular rehearsal either on Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m. on the first floor of the Sanctuary, or on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in the Choir Room. Our staff and members will gladly assist you in finding the materials you need and a good seat in the appropriate section. You may begin singing in the Sunday services after your first rehearsal if you feel comfortable doing so. This is a personal choice and we want you to do what is most comfortable and enjoyable for you. Membership in the choir is open to all who are 16 years old and older. No audition is necessary.

WHAT ARE THE ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS?

“I will not give unto the Lord that which costs me nothing.”

Faithful attendance is encouraged and expected at all rehearsals, worship services, and special events. Obviously our goal should be 100%, but there will be circumstances from time to time that will cause you to miss a rehearsal or service. Therefore, 70% ought to be the minimum goal. This is easily attainable because we have the two options each week for rehearsal. If you have a special challenge with your schedule, simply share that with our Minister of Music. His heart is to involve as many people as possible at the very best level at which they can serve.

WHEN ARE REHEARSALS?

We have two options each week for rehearsal – 1) Wednesday evenings from 6:15 p.m .- 8:00 p.m. on the first floor of the Sanctuary; 2) Sunday afternoons from 4:30 p.m. - 5:40 p.m. in the Choir Room. Pick up your music, Vision newsletter, prayer request sheets and other materials on the tables at the front. Rehearsals are a special time of worship, as well as a time of musical and spiritual preparation. There is an incredible fellowship in this family of faith, and we have a great time each week!

WHEN DO WE SING?

The Celebration Choir sings each Sunday morning at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. We also sing at special conferences like Bailey Smith’s “Real Evangelism" conference. We have two major events each year:

“An Indian Trail Christmas”
This is a full dramatic evangelistic musical production presented in December in which our Choir, Orchestra, and Drama Cast all join forces to present a glorious presentation of the Gospel.

“An Indian Trail Homecoming”
This is an incredible evening of gospel music and testimonies presented “homecoming-style” in the spring. This will be presented at FBCIT, as well as, at other places where God opens the door.

WHAT DO WE WEAR?

For our Sunday services, we wear appropriate Sunday attire. No jeans, shorts, t-shirts, or tank tops. For our seasonal events, we wear formal outfits.

WHAT TIME ON SUNDAY MORNING AND EVENING?

The choir warms up 15 minutes prior to each service. That means 7:45 for the 8:00 service, 9:15 for the 9:30 service, and 10:45 for the 11:00 service. Then in the evening, we meet at 5:45 for the 6:00 service. Music and folders are located in the hallway right outside the Choir Room.

WHAT ABOUT CHILDCARE?

Your family is important to us and we are committed to providing quality childcare for your children during ALL rehearsals. Elementary, middle school, and high school children all have activities going at the same time as Choir on Wednesday Nights. If you have preschool children, simply bring them to the Preschool area at 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday night, and they will receive excellent care. If you attend the Sunday afternoon rehearsal, bring your child to the Preschool area at 4:25 p.m.
