Missions Ministry

The primary goal of the Missions Ministry is to spread the good news of the gospel around the world starting here in Indian Trail.  Some of our trips call for humanitarian efforts, construction or medical work; however, our primary focus is personal evangelism.

Ways You Can Get Involved

  • Pray.  Pray for efforts both locally and around the world.
  • Give.  Mission3Ten is one way you can give financially.  On the third Sunday of each month, we ask that you prayerfully consider giving $10 or more above your tithe & offering to be designated for missions.  Imagine what we can achieve together if every member commits to give on a monthly basis to impact local, home and world missions for the cause of Christ!  We also participate in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for foreign missions as well as the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American missions.
  • Serve.  We desire to spread the good news of the gospel beginning locally and reaching the rest of the world.  Our mission trips call for a variety of different services; however, our primary focus is to reach people for Christ.  FBC Indian Trail endorses The Way of the Master discipleship training.  It is an easy step-by-step method of reaching your friends and family with the Gospel by using the Ten Commandments.  To learn more, click here.

Mission Trip Information

  • Passports - If you do not yet have a passport, we recommend applying for one immediately.  Applications can be found and sent at the main branches of most post offices.  This process requires a fee, two passport photos and an expired passport or birth certificate.  Many post offices stop processing passport applications earlier than the branch actually closes.  For additional passport information, click here.  Your US passport must be valid at least six months beyond the dates of your trip.  If your passport expires before the required validity, you will have to apply for a new one.
  • Policies - Passports, visas, other travel documents and immunizations are acquired at the cost of the mission team member.  No reimbursements will be made for these costs.
  • Forms - The following forms may be useful to you in preparing for your mission trip.  Click here for an Application for Volunteer Service.  Click here for a Background Check (required).  Click here for a Mission Trip Waiver Form.  Click here for the Mission Financial Policy.
