November - Stand: Don't Face Your Fears Alone
As we continue our journey through God’s Big Story, we take a closer look at the lives of significant people in the Jewish Scriptures: Joshua and Caleb, David, Daniel, and Esther. Each of them trusted God and found courage to face difficult circumstances. They also represent major time periods in Israel’s history—from entering the land of Canaan, the United Kingdom, and Exile. Like these people we read about in the Old Testament, God may ask us to take a risk or do something we might not feel prepared to do. But God will also give us the courage we need to face that challenge. We can also look to Jesus. He faced the biggest challenge of all: death on the cross. Still, He chose to be brave and follow God’s plan. Here is a summary of what your elementary child will learn in the month of November.
Week One: Joshua and Caleb -Numbers 13-14 Bottom Line: You can do what you should even when others are afraid.
Week Two: David Anointed / Goliath- 1 Samuel 16:1-13 and 1 Samuel 17:1-51 Bottom Line: You can do what you should even when things seem impossible.
Week Three: Daniel Is Thrown Into a Den of Lions - Daniel 6 Bottom Line: You can do what you should because God is with you.
Week Four: Esther - The Book of Esther. Bottom Line: You can do what you should even when you don’t know what will happen. Courage is Being Brave Enough To Do What You Should Do, Even When You’re Afraid. Memory Verse for this month: “Be Strong And Brave. Do Not Be Afraid. Do Not Lose Hope. I Am The Lord Your God. I Will Be With You Everywhere You Go.” Joshua 1:9B NIRV

Life Groups

Sundays | 8am & 11am

Children’s Building

We believe kids learn best in a small group environment, therefore, we have designated a specific time out of our Sunday morning schedule just for groups. These life groups give us opportunities to reinforce the main point of the day and talk about actual life application at the individual level. All classes are divided into grade levels for the best developmental engagement.

Midweek Kidz

Wednesdays | September - May | 6:30 8pm

Children's Wing

We are so excited! Part of our MidWeek Kidz will include AWANA. We have had many kids go through our AWANA program and look forward to their special AWANA awards once they pass off sections and books. But, what if your child does not want to participate in AWANA? That is fine too! We want all our kids to be part of our MidWeek Kidz program! We start up again on August 31! Look for more information below in the Events section.

Christmas is that special time of year when families get together to celebrate the birth of Jesus. At FBCIT, we are intentional about making sure families still do that.

It is a great time for your family to be together and make some wonderful memories! No registration is needed. This is a free event. Contact Deanna with questions.
