Women, whether you have one hour a week or much more to give, there is something for you. Our women’s ministry includes Bible studies, mentoring, classes, Life Groups, special events, and more. We are concerned for your spiritual well-being and have special classes to help in your physical, mental, and emotional health. Our goal is to help you find Jesus, first and foremost, as He is the answer to managing the ups and downs of life.

Anchored Moms

Wednesday, January 26, 6:30pm

Sossamon Chapel

The influence of a mom is immeasurable. While being a mother is one of the greatest honors in life, we all need a place where we can share our hearts, where we can encourage, listen to, and share life with one another, and where we are reminded to be ANCHORED to the truth of Scripture.

It is our desire for moms to be able to take a moment to breathe, to refocus and to be encouraged at Anchored Moms. Moms, join us the last Wednesday of each month and come prepared to be encouraged as we learn from Scripture what it means to be an Anchored Mom.

Anchored in Prayer

Tuesday, February 1, 7pm, Doors Open at 6:30pm

Are you tired from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season?  Are you thinking about the goals that you have set for the new year? Are you in need of peace in the midst of trying circumstances? Do anxious thoughts seem to resurface throughout your day?  Do you long for more of Jesus in your life?

Begin the New Year and be encouraged by joining other women, side by side, and experience the Lord’s power and presence through prayer. Change happens when we pray- we change, our families change, our churches change and our communities change.

This is a night to stop, to seek the One who is over all and to savor the Lord’s presence as we anchor ourselves in prayer. Arrive early to enjoy time with friends over hot chocolate and a treat! Cost is $10. Register below!

Anchored Spring Bible Studies

February 8- April 6

Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin

Tuesdays, February 8 - April 5, 6:30-8:30pm, Room B207

What does it mean to be a citizen of the kingdom of Heaven? The Sermon on the Mount articulates what the life of a Christ-follower should look like, asking us the same questions it posed to its original hearers: How should a disciple relate to sin? To others? To the Law? How does a disciple think, speak, and act? In this 9-session study, examine the words of Jesus in-depth as He challenges us to think differently about repentance, salvation, and sanctification. Cost $20. Childcare is not available for this session. Led by Kristi Layden

How Much More by Lisa Harper

Tuesdays, February 8-March 22, 9:30am - 11:30am, Children's Theater

Maybe your head knows that God is always good, but your heart’s not so sure. Or perhaps while reading Scripture, you’ve wondered if our Creator Redeemer went through a personality change—from strictly enforcing the rules in the Old Testament to loving the outcast in the New. In this 7-session Bible study, you’ll discover divine love in the often overlooked and misunderstood passages. And you’ll be delighted to find that Jehovah of the Old Testament is the same redemptive and compassionate God we see through Jesus Christ in the New Testament. He has always been and always will be for us!  Cost $20.  Led by Leslie Reynolds and Kristi Layden.  Childcare is available for $40/1 child or $50/ 2+ children.
